Procter & Gamble will close one of Gillette’s two plants in Devens, MA by the end of the year and eliminate at least 100 jobs. The plant produces packaging materials for razors and other personal care products. P&G has remained quiet about the fate of the second packaging facility in Devens, which employs approximately 1,000.

P&G will also downsize the warehouse and distribution facility at Devens. All operation activity will move to a P&G plant in Greensboro, NC. Earlier this year, P&G said it would shut down about half of its distribution centers worldwide to consolidate operations.
